Parental Centering™ Program
Parental Centering™ is a therapeutic protocol which was founded and trademarked by Lisa Marie Jackson of FSR. It is designed to help parents of crisis‐driven adult children regain control of their lives. Parents learn skills to move from reactionary and emotionally charged responses towards systematic, rational responses. In doing so, parents will make decisions that are more consistent with the goals and boundaries they have set in advance based on their core values, rather than react to the chaotic world of their child. The program teaches parents to take care of themselves first when living with a child in crisis. It is usually presented as a six week psychoeducational program, and can be done virtually.
